Final Draft

Today, many people are taking marijuana in many purposes. But many people are arguing that it has double-sided character. The person who is taking marijuana is increasing because many experts have deducted that marijuana is safer than tobacco. Also, hateandanger.wordpress.com has shown the difference between soda and marijuana, but the an astonishing fact was that a soda has more side effects in your health, however drinking soda is legal and taking marijuana is illegal. In contrast, 2themax.org has a different idea that a marijuana can cause "glazed" expression, red eyes, vomiting, kidney failure and many other symptoms. But today's topic is limited in medical purposes. If we just use it for medical purposes it has lots of advantages. It helps reduce various pain problems, relaxation, and help relieve PMS(Premenstrual Syndrome/Tension). Therefore I agree that we should legalize using marijuana for medical purpose and I have several reasons why I support this topic for discussion.

First of all, marijuana is very imperative component for medical products. We need an anesthetic drug to do the surgery, and the astonishing fact is that the marijuana is an important component of making anesthetic drugs. When we have serious and important surgery we have to use anesthetic drug, and it is necessary. But if we cannot use marijuana then many people will die soon, because doctors cannot have an operation without anesthetic drugs. Therefore in some countries they legalize marijuana just for medical purposes, and the countries which do not allow using marijuana, they have low quality of medical technologies and more dangerous. Also, marijuana has been successfully used to help people with serious health issues, particularly cancer patients. Cancer patients should not have to travel to states where it is legal just to get treatment that can make their lives better and allow them to feel better. Because of the stigma attached to marijuana, many sick patients are afraid to get marijuana. Additionally, legalizing marijuana will allow sick patients to have it without having to jump through hoops just to get it for medicinal purposes. Marijuana has proven to have health benefits for more than just cancer patients. According to US doctors, it has lots of health benefits, such as reducing various pain problem, muscle relaxation, nausea relaxation, increasing appetite, and helping to relieve PMS(Premenstrual Syndrome/Tension). To add, hemp: marijuana can also be used as a personal hygiene product and is used in some body lotions, shampoos, moisturizers and soaps. The oils that are in these products are not only good for our skin but can help prevent heart problems.

Secondly, marijuana is safe. How can we prove it? Some medical experts have shown a difference between soda and marijuana. The most different thing is that a soda is legal and marijuana is illegal, and many people think that a  Today, many people are taking marijuana in many purposes. But many people are arguing that it has double-sided character. The person who are taking marijuana are increasing because many experts have deducted that marijuana is safer than tobacco. It helps reduce various pain problems, relaxation, and help relieve PMS(Premenstrual Syndrome/Tension). Therefore I agree that we should legalize using marijuana for medical purpose and I have several reasons why I support this topic for discussion.

Third, forcing and limiting is not always effective way to prevent. Legal sale would be helpful to young adults. Marijuana is used by more than 25 million people annually, and the number is increasing every year, particularly with teenagers and young adults. While illegally purchasing marijuana, teenagers are having access to more harmful and illegal drugs. Legalizing marijuana would eliminate this danger-causing problem. Also, with so many arrests and incarcerations due to marijuana arrests, our jails and prisons are filled. According to statistics, the percentage of all drug arrests that were for marijuana possession is increasing. In 1995 34% possessed marijuana but in 2010, 46% of prisoners possessed marijuana. To add, according to PEW RESEARCH CENTER, people who think using marijuana should be illegal was 81% in 1990, but in 2011 the rate is decreased to 50%, however the percentage of people who think it should be legal, was 16% in 1990, but increased to 45% in  2011. This means people are changing their stereotype because they can know that marijuana is safe by medical experts.

Lastly, it has different ways to use. One form of marijuana known as hemp can be used for various practical purposes such as fabric, rope or even bedding for animals. The uses for hemp are almost unending, and the seeds from marijuana are highly nutritious and rich in omega 3, calcium and iron. Marijuana is used in many foods, including salad dressing, nutrition bars and chips. Also, unlike many other crops that require fertilizer and chemicals to grow, hemp requires very little fertilizer or chemicals. It's also pest-resistant, which means there will be no harmful insecticides going into the soil, making it magnificent for the environment. In fact, in some areas hemp is used to clean up soil. Whether it's for cities, states or countries, revenue is always important. Marijuana is the largest crop in the nation and legalizing marijuana can bring more jobs into an area or a country. More jobs equal more revenue, which is needed to help our sagging economy. Just think of the taxes that can be charged on the sale of marijuana. This type of large revenue can be extremely helpful in paying for many government programs. Legalizing marijuana will keep revenue in your own country where it can help your residents.

In conclusion, it is not hard to access the danger of marijuana, but if we consider it more deeper, we can find that it has lots of benefits, substantially, disadvantages are not much as benefits. Therefore we should think what is really effective. As we think it in positive ways, it has many medical benefits such as treatment for cancer, component for anesthetic drugs, reducing various pain problem, muscle relaxation, nausea relaxation, increasing appetite, and helping to relieve PMS(Premenstrual Syndrome/Tension). Also, we can find out forcing and limiting is not always a good thing by specific data and statistics. Lastly, marijuana has lots of benefits not only for medical purposes. Therefore, I strongly agree with the topic that Marijuana should be legalized for medical purposes. soda is safer than marijuana, but the astonishing fact is, soda can give more negative effects than marijuana. Firstly, soda is more addictive, because of high fructose corn syrup and caffeine. However, marijuana is not addictive, though psychological addiction is possible. Also, doctors recommend zero soda consumption, but marijuana is used to treat cancer patients, glaucoma, AIDS patients, and etc. But soda is able to drink at school, however, marijuana is illegal. According to PittsburghNORML. they have showed annual deaths rates of many drugs. But the most surprising fact was that there are many people who died because of peanuts, but the people who are died because of marijuana was lower than the death rate of peanuts. Also, drugs which are legal has higher rate than marijuana. While alcohol and prescription drugs are responsible for almost 200,000 deaths each year, marijuana is safe to use and will not kill people. Before marijuana could even begin to be harmful, an individual would have to consumer more than it's even possible to consume.
